AMC debuted the new trailer for the Robert Kirkman comic TV series at Comic-Con, but for all those who could not make it, now the full trailer is up online with a official announcement that the series will premiere on October 31st
Quite ironic given the dead will be alive on Halloween of this year, but quite fitting at the same time.
On Hallo eve opening night for the new series will be celebrated with a 90 minute segment followed thereafter by traditional sixty minute episodes. Directed by Frank Darabont known for ‘The Mist’ and ‘Shawshank Redemption,’ at the moment there are only six episodes are planned but with a positive reception hopefully more is to come.
The series will star Andrew Lincoln in the role of Rick Grimes, a police officer that finds himself in a hospital after getting shot. The trailer shows his shooting and the nightmare world he finds himself in – a world where humans are endangered and zombies rule the streets.
The aptly named “The Walking Dead” should be quite interesting, including every moment of Rick’s realization as he finds the world he expects is little of what he finds.
